US Grade 5 - 7
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Step into the colorful world of yarn and hooks in this one-on-one crocheting course! We'll unravel the mysteries behind the slipknot, chaining, single and double crochet stitches. But wait, that's just the beginning! For those who have already mastered the basic skills, get ready to dive into the intricate art of more challenging stitches and decode the language of patterns. Join me on this crochet adventure where every loop and twist brings your creations to life! Lessons can be teacher directed for beginners or learner directed with students who already know the basics. For a basic learner the first class would consist of the following activities: 5-10 minutes - Get to know the learner and their crochet goals. 30 minutes - Learn all about the tools such as hook sizes, types of yarn, basic terminology, slipknots and chaining. Ask all those questions you've always wondered about crochet! 5 minutes - Discussion and preparations for the next class For students who already know the basics, the lesson may consist of the following: 5-10 minutes - Get to know the learner, their skill level and crochet goals. 30 minutes - Students may want to learn a specific more advanced/intricate stitch or get guidance on how to read and complete a pattern. Since the student already knows the basics, their lessons will be directed by them. 5 minutes - Discussion and preparations for the next class. These lessons will be very interactive, and I strive to make students feel comfortable and able to openly communicate their needs with me.
