This class requires participants to have some knowledge of basic crochet stitches. The stitches in this class will build off of those basic skills. Students will learn the process to create these stitches, with time to practice with the instructor. This class will not focus on projects, but rather on building additional crochet skills. Stitches covered will include: granite stitch, star stitch, shell stitch, and primrose stitch. The style of learning will be the teacher demonstrating the stitch, while the students replicate her movements. The teacher will watch each student to ensure that the student is creating the stitch correctly. The class usually has enough time for a practice session, so the students can practice what they have learned and have the teacher available for questions. Supply List
Students will need a yarn of their choice. The suggested yarn is a worsted weight #4 (Red Heart Super Saver or equivalent). Also, the student will need a crochet hook; suggested sizes include H (5.0 mm), I (5.5 mm), or J (6.0 mm).

I have worked with elementary and middle school aged children for seven years. I specialize in all topic in language arts/English: grammar, writing, reading, ESL. I believe that if you meet students where they are, you can bring them to where you need them to be.
