Description
Class Experience
In this class, I will introduce students to the basics of crochet. At the beginning of class, I will share information about yarn and crochet hooks. Then, I will model the following skills: forming a slip knot, crocheting a chain, and single crochet. I will model each step as many times as needed for students to feel confident with each skill. Once these skills have been demonstrated, there will usually still be time for students to crochet several rows in class and free talk. At the end of...
Students will learn how to crochet using single crochet. Students can use single crochet to create many projects, including scarves and afghans (blankets).
I learned to crochet as a child. It has always been a favorite activity of mine, and I would love to share it with you! I have made scarves, hats, blankets, sweaters, and other projects.
2 files available upon enrollmentA printable supply list will be provided upon enrollment in this class. Supplies: Yarn (medium weight, size 4) Crochet hook (size I/9 - 5.5mm) Scissors Needle with a large eye (plastic or metal needle is fine)
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Scissors are used to cut the yarn at the end of the project.
