Beginner Level
In this beginner crochet class, kids (ages 8-10) will learn and practice the basics of crochet while making fun, small projects. Each week, I’ll guide students step by step on Zoom, helping them master skills like holding the hook and yarn, making a slip knot, chaining, and single crochet. What We’ll Cover: How to start a crochet project (slip knot, chain, and single crochet) Understanding basic stitches and patterns Practicing tension and consistency Creating small beginner-friendly items like bookmarks, coasters, or simple squares Troubleshooting mistakes and learning how to fix them I use live demonstrations, close-up camera angles, and easy-to-follow instructions so kids can see every step clearly. I encourage interaction by asking students to show their work on camera and providing feedback in real time. Questions are always welcome, and I help each student at their own pace. This class is designed for beginners. Those who want ongoing support are encouraged to join the Crochet Fun for Beginners Club that meets weekly.
