Description

Class Experience

Do you have a learner who is interested in crocheting? In this 6-week class, students will learn the fundamentals of crocheting and practice the skill to eventually create an item. During the class, students will learn the terms used in crocheting, how to make a chain, how to read a pattern, and create a fun item by reading a pattern and learning along. This class is for beginners, who are interested in learning how to crochet but not sure where to begin or how. Each class is 25 to 35...

Below is the required supplies for this class as we will be practicing together:
- yarn: 
       - medium weight yarn (on the back of a skein of yarn will show you a number - look for the number 4)
       - Yarn brands: I Love this Yarn (Hobby Lobby), Caron (Michaels or Joanns), or Red Heart (Michaels, Joanns, & Walmart)

- crochet hook: 
      - 2 hook sizes will be needed in this class
      - J/10 - 6mm hook & K/101/2 - 6.5mm hook (I personally like Loops & Threads brand from Michael's)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
