Beginner Level
In this class, we will learn: 1. How to hold a hook 2. How to make a slip knot 3. How to make a chain 4. How to make a blanket, a bear, and other projects This class is hands-on and 100% interactive. I will crochet along with your learner showing them step by step what to do. Please note: CROCHET IS LIKE PIANO LESSONS, IT TAKES TIME AND PRACTICE. I will stick with your learner from start to finish on each project and they have access to communicate with me if they are having issues with the project. I will answer them as quickly as I can. We may occasionally view a video to help grasp a concept but this is rare. I believe in teaching the art step by step. There is no prior knowledge needed. Here is a sample of the class. This is only a sample. Week of 11/18 How to Begin How to make a slip knot and chain Week of 11/25 How to start a project Week of 12/02 How to continue the project Week of 12/09 How to finish the project one Communication will be very important. Please note if I see your learner struggling with the process after a few weeks with your permission I will change to a different project. • Passion is the driving force behind learning.
I love making handmade or homemade items for friends and family. It is always fun to make something special and bring a smile to someone’s face. Making items for family or friends show them that you genuinely care about them. These projects are so much fun because you start with little or nothing and end up with a great product!
Each year for Christmas the family excitedly waits to see who will get what handmade or homemade item. Their favorites are crochet scarves and blankets. Strawberry jelly and salsa are always at the top of the list. But last year Santa left the cookies and took all the salsa right out of the stockings!
