This class is designed for students who have knowledge of the beginner crochet stitches. Beginner crochet students should have taken the crochet camp level 1 and 2 course first to learn the basic crochet stitches If student has not taken level 1 and 2 they can still participate if they know the basic stitches of crochet including: slip knot, slip stitch, chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, and treble crochet. Students will use the basic stitches of crochet to learn to read the pattern for this project and how to crochet in a-round. They will learn how to create a magic circle which is the foundation necessary to begin creating shapes such as dolls, fruits and animals. Students will get to ask questions after each instruction is given. Students will also be provided with a video tutorial to access for each step after the class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to crochet circles using an Apple coaster pattern. They will learn how to create a magic ring. They will learn how to ‘crochet in a round.’ They will learn how to read advanced level patterns, and how to increase stitches. All of these skills will prepare them for level 4 for making 3D shapes fruit and then level 5 for creating dolls.
