Class Experience

Students will learn basic crochet skills and terminology. By the end of the class they will be able to make granny squares that can be used to make a scarf or blanket.
I have been crocheting since I was nine. I love yarn and all it can do
Each week, after watching the demonstration, students should spend time practicing. They will post their progress, and their questions in the Outschool classroom. Students will also compare and comment on each other’s work. Students will also answer a weekly question about their work. I will give feedback and encourage each student.
students will need:
at least two skeins of solid worsted weight yarn (each a different color)
crochet hooks size H, I, J and k
tapestry needle
Although granny squares look great in any color when first learning how to make them it is best to choose lighter colors. This will aid in the learners ability to see the stitches
Worsted weight or bulky yarns easier to work with than thinner yarn.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
