Description

Class Experience

Increase observation and identification skills
Practice creating graphs and interpreting data
Practice creating and delivering a short presentation
I have previously led hundreds of students in field studies with a focus on observation and identification. I have also previously participated in the City Nature Challenge and regularly utilize iNaturalist.
Week 1: Spend 1-2 hours outdoors collecting photos and data
Week 2: Add data to iNaturalist and create a short presentation (2-3 minutes)
Data sheets will be available for download and printing before class
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
