1 hour per week. Students will be assigned a picture to view and create a story or answer questions about the pictures. The homework will take no longer than 30 minutes and will be given one to two times over the week.Assessment

US Grade 4 - 6
In this three day course the learner will be taught how to think critically and creatively. They will be able to ask & answer questions about a picture and make connections to reading skills. The class will be structure the following: Introduction/review, direct instruction of critical thinking and/or writing component, group discussion around a picture and then a final writing and reflection of the picture. I will teach using pictures that can engaged conversation and deep discussion that lead to open-ended questions and answers. My teaching style will be engage the learner through visuals and verbal skills. Learners will interact with each other by sharing ideas on the pictures during discussions. There is no previous knowledge needed for this course.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their critical thinking skills, speaking and listening skills, and writing skills through the various activities.

Computer with working web camera and microphone to engage in the discussion. Paper and pencil for writing assignments.
