Description
Class Experience
Students will practice and improve using their critical thinking skills while solving Narrative logic tasks.
I am a certified elementary, middle, and high school teacher. My degree is in English Education and Reading. I have more than 20 years of experience teaching English and Reading Courses to various student populations. Within this timeframe, I have successfully conducted a Critical Thinking Course for elementary and middle school students. This course was conducted by using a Critical Thinking workbook with Narrative texts and clues that students had to solve by using the process of elimination strategy.
Homework will be administered in the event that students have not completed required tasks during the regular class session.
Parents will need to purchase the following workbook for this course. TITLE: "PERPLEXORS" (LEVEL B) ISBN # 1-892069-15-6 AUTHOR: GREG GOTTSTEIN This book can be purchased on Amazon.com for approx. $13.00. Students will also need to have a writing utensil.
Assessment will be non-formal and occur through discussion of answers to the Narrative tasks.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
