In this 2 week summer camp, students will learn to be critical thinkers by working on multiple critical thinking skills as they read short passages and work on text base questions.

In this 2 week summer camp students will learn multiple different methods to help them become critical thinkers. They will become reading detectives by learning how to find text based evidence to answer questions. We will work with multiple different genres throughout he two weeks. By becoming critical thinkers students will be able to understand more challenging reading concepts. I do encourage participation in my classes. My classes are very routine. We will begin class by going over the power point which will include the genre, critical reading skill, read a short passage, practice the skill together, and practice the skill on their own. Each skill will be covered twice to ensure they have practice within each skills.

All materials will be uploaded prior to class on the classroom page. This will include the passages for the week and questions. You will need a pencil and highlighter for class as well.
