What's included
Class Experience
This is a FLEX class with no live meetings. Students will enjoy videos that they may view over and over again if desired. No prior knowledge is needed. Learners will learn about the various jobs available in the criminal justice sector. Learners will learn the components of crime scene processing and evidence collecting. Many vocabulary terms will be presented in a slide-show presentation filled with valuable facts. Your child will come away with a better understanding of criminology and evidence collecting. Students will participate in classroom comments, worksheets, quizzes and project demonstrations. Each learner will post comments on their own work, and the work of their classmates. Students will learn the requirements of education for their chosen career. At the end of the session, students will post their favorite job of interest and explain why they are interested in it. Students will enjoy discussions with each other through classroom comments and games. Your learner will learn how to create a secret code and how to read in code. Each learner will post their key and have other students try to figure out what was written. There will be no live meetings, but I will be available for questions and comments. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the session. Week One What is criminology? and what careers are available? Parental Guidance
This class will discuss crimes and criminals. I will keep it age appropriate and non-graphic. In this class, we will discuss DNA collection, autopsies and how murders and crimes are solved. This class will focus on the science and not the crimes themselves.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I went to Cooley Law School and was a University Professor teaching Criminal Law at Grand Valley State University and I was also probation officer for Berrien County, Michigan. I am also a state certified teacher and also received my bachelors in Criminal Justice from Wayne State University. I have also done fraudulent claims for State Farm Insurance Company.
