The teacher leading this course has taught this class for over 15 years in the classroom. She has gone to trainings sponsored by Street Law, the Center for Civic Education, and a local Citizens Police Academy.
Crimes are discussed, some of which include murder. We don't get into highly specific details and there are no pictures of crime scenes, but the subject is discussed and there are a few cases that deal with murder that we discuss in landmark cases or examples regarding the death penalty.
