Students will improve their critical thinking skills and their ability to challenge their own assumptions, as they sift through evidence and find links between people and evidence.
I have taught forensic science for all ages up through college, and I have created many mock crime scenes as parts of my programs and for training college students who are pursuing degrees. My scenes are challenging and encourage critical thinking.
Students will have the evidence from each session to go over at home, so that they can formulate questions and hypotheses for the next week's session.
All evidence files will be uploaded on the Classroom page as they are needed during the six weeks of this class.
Learner progress is assessed through an informal assessment of discussion (oral or chat).
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
