Grab your flashlights... it's time to enter the spooky night world of nocturnal animals. While the majority of the world sleeps, nocturnal animals thrive thanks to their amazing adaptations. But, what are those adaptations? And, Do nocturnal animals only come out at night? What does it mean to be "crepuscular"? In this four-week spooky themed zoology class, we will answer those questions and more by focusing on a unique animal and their specific adaptations each week. The weekly course...
Learners will improve their understanding of what makes an animal nocturnal and the specific adaptations that allow animals to excel at this way of life.
With nearly thirteen years of experience in the zoo and aquarium community, Dr. Wildlife has a wealth of practical knowledge to help learners succeed in their career goals. Doc has helped with projects around the world from rehabilitating injured seabirds in South Africa to tracking tigers in central India. Currently, Dr. Wildlife manages a CAZA accredited reptile-focused zoo near Toronto, Canada.
Weekly Exercises, tasks, supplemental videos, and engaging activities will be posted weekly. Optional (and fun!) quizzes will be posted to keep learners engaged as well.
A letter grade will be provided after the conclusion of the class.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
