What's included
4 live meetings
3 hrs 40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Students will be taught to paint using geometric shapes to compose a different acrylic painting each week. We will discuss the elements and principles of art, painting techniques, art terminology and the basics of composition with each painting. Students will follow along with step by step instruction and also be encouraged to add their own style. We will look at pictures of the animal that we are painting each week prior to beginning our painting activity. Students will be able to view my canvas as I paint with step by step instructions, so that they can follow along. My teaching style is to lead with positive reinforcement and praise. I prefer that students feel comfortable and engage in discussion throughout the class just as we would do in a studio setting. This interaction will allow for students to share ideas and thoughts about the weekly lessons. Students are invited to share their paintings at the end of class.
