During the program, we will meet the otters of the Texas State Aquarium via live cameras. We will make scientific observations about otter behavior, the parts of the body, and other adaptations that otters use to move and survive in their watery habitats. We will then practice using a Venn diagram to compare and contrast sea otters and river otters. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be using scissors. If you are uncomfortable having your child use scissors without in-person supervision, please cut out the pictures on the handout with your child prior to the class. We will be looking at biofacts under a microscope including fur and skulls.
