Class Experience
In this 4-week course, students will learn and practice their creative writing skills by using photos for inspiration. This course is designed to provide practice for writers and promote imagination. Students will be provided with a syllabus that contains step-by-step instructions for successfully completing the class. Students will be provided a video by the instructor on a weekly basis that explains how to complete the work. Students will receive 5 picture prompts per week over a period of 4 weeks to equal a total of 20 prompts. In addition to submitting writing pieces, students will record videos of themselves on Flipgrid answering questions and showcasing their creativity. This is a flexible schedule course, students can participate on the dates and times that work for them, but will still be required to submit their work weekly. This course is highly interactive and students will be required to actively participate. Week 1: Complete photos 1-5 and all Flipgrid activities by Friday at 11:59pm. Theme: Freedom/Activism Week 2: Complete photos 6-10 and all Flipgrid activities by Friday at 11:59pm. Theme: Ecosystems Week 3: Complete photos 11-15 and all Flipgrid activities by Friday at 11:59pm. Theme: Aeriel views Week 4: Complete photos 16-20 and all Flipgrid activities by Friday at 11:59pm. Theme: Cities No required experience or knowledge necessary besides the ability to write and/or type. REMINDER: These lessons do not build on each other and taking them in-order is not necessary! Each lesson will include a new set of images and art to write about.
Learning Goals
Students will practice writing stories using photos given each week. Students are encouraged to use their creativity and think outside the box.

Supply List
Students will need access to a computer with word processing capabilities. If writing by hand, students will also need a pencil and paper. Students will also need a webcam and microphone to record their stories on Flipgrid.
