Description

Class Experience

In this four-week writing course, we will workshop creative writing essentials. We will work on developing strong characters and building worlds that those characters can explore.  This course relies heavily on hard work and participation.  You will be REQUIRED to complete writing assignments during this course.

Here's how this course will work:

Week 1- Learning the basics of building strong characters. We will focus on developing every aspect of our main character and the protagonist. ...

Students will leave with a better understanding of character and world development.

Students will be required to complete the character development and world-building charts.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Students will work together to assess any gaps in their characters/worlds.

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
