US Grade 2 - 4
In "Creative Writing: World Beach Month (September) Writing Camp," students will use engaging, beach-themed writing prompts to write their own creative short story each week. In class each week, students will be given a specific writing prompt, take time to brainstorm ideas aloud, write a short story, then share it with the class. This class will meet once a week for a total of four weeks. Week 1: Monday, September 4 to Sunday, September 10 - Writing Prompt: The House That Herman...
Students will gain practice and experience in writing short stories, oral reading and speaking, and expanding their imaginations as they create their own stories.
I have been teaching writing classes on Outschool every week since July 2020.
Students should come to class with: - Something to write with (if choosing to write on physical paper) - Something to write on (notebook, paper, Word or Google Docs document)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
All writing prompts in this course are age-appropriate and do not contain any graphic, violent, or controversial material.
