Creative Writing Workshop!

This Creative Writing Workshop offers one-on-one tutoring for intermediate and advanced young writers aged 10-18, focusing on helping each student cultivate their creativity, and hone their writing craft in a personalized, supportive setting. As a trained, experienced workshop leader, I've designed this course to help young writers move past fear of personal expression and feelings that their writing has to immediately be "good". In this workshop, I will take them through a non judgmental process where their ideas and creativity will be encouraged to flow freely and easily. Guiding them past their inner "critic", students will engage in writing exercises that encourage them to tell their stories in rich, descriptive ways, ensuring that their unique voice shines through.

Each session is tailored to the student’s individual needs and writing goals, with a strong emphasis on positive, constructive feedback to help them develop a deeper understanding of storytelling techniques. Whether they’re working on a short story, a poem, or a longer narrative, the workshop provides guidance toward completing a finished piece. By the end, students will walk away with the confidence and skills needed to continue pursuing their writing journey!
