Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how poetic devices and literary styles are applied to text and get the opportunity to create their own verbal portraits and poetries.
Other than receiving writing theory and guidelines for developing creative writing texts, the students will be asked on a weekly basis to experiment and construct distinct literary forms and writing styles. By the end of the workshop, learners would have written ample creative texts in 8 distinct genres and writing styles.
A notebook (digital or otherwise).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The progress is assessed on the learner's capacity for participation and for producing distinct weekly efficient writing portraits.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
