Description
Class Experience
The main goal of this class is give students a space to practice writing while following a narrative structure. This should help them understand how to introduce characters & settings, set up a plot, and deliver a satisfying conclusion.
I have been a classroom teacher for over a decade and writing is one of my greatest passions to teach. We will be writing a scary story which means that when students share their work it could be frightening. I will encourage students to refrain from being too graphic while not holding back their creativity.
Students will need some lined paper and writing utensil, preferably a pencil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
As we write, I will be giving feedback on student work to help with each step.
1 hour per week in class, and no time outside of class.
