US Grade 9 - 12
Do you want to write a short story, novella, or a novel? There are many ways to get started on or prep for your story and that's what this class will cover. We'll go over what it means to be a Plotter, a Pantser, or something in between. The purpose of this class is to discuss the pros and cons of being a Plotter, Pantser, and something in between. The student will learn the tricks and tools of plotters and how they map out everything before sitting down to write. The student will learn the tricks and tools of a pantser and trusting the process to let the story flow. And what to do if you fall in the middle. We'll discuss which method rings true to each student and what they want to try for their next writing project (short story, novella, or novel).
Learning Goals
The students will learn the different between a plotter and a pantser, and how published authors use both methods.
