This class will cover what every good story needs while allowing your imagination to flow. You can choose to write a short story or a book. Each week will cover a different topic(s): Week one: book genres and setting the scene (writing tips) Week two: characters including protagonist and antagonist & viewpoint Week three: plot and structure Week four: putting all the elements together and editing Each Monday, videos and lessons will be posted with that week's assignment using...
Learners will learn the parts of a story and how to write their own.
I have taught writing in a local homeschool co-op, and creative writing is my favorite. I look forward to reading where your imagination takes you.
Weekly assignments encourage students to finish a short story before the end of the session.
No materials needed. Students will need access to Microsoft Word or Google Drive to complete assignments.
Learners will receive feedback weekly and can receive a more formal assessment upon request at the end.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
