An ongoing class that aims to develop young learners creative writing by focusing on the basic writing skills.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
This ongoing course is designed to help students develop their ability to write descriptive, detailed, technically accurate sentences and short paragraphs. The lessons use the English KS2 Curriculum for years 3 and 4 (ages 7 to 9) standards. Students will receive a handout to help with each lesson. Each class will focus on using sentence structure, sentence openers, vocabulary choices, adjectives, verbs, extended noun phrases, figurative techniques and punctuation to create detailed...
Students will identify and practise the basic building blocks of creative writing.
I am an English teacher with over 20 years experience in the classroom and have been running popular creative writing classes on Outschool for nearly 3 years.
Homework Offered
If students would like their work marked and assessed, they will need to send the independent work they complete during the lesson after class has finished - this is optional and does not have to be completed.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students work during the lesson will receive verbal feedback and suggestions for edits and improvements. Independent work sent at the end of the lesson will be marked using ADAM: acquiring, developing, applying, mastering.Grades Offered
All resources relevant to the lesson will be posted in classroom the day before class.
