👋🏼Welcome to the Creative Writing Summer Camp! This is a place where learners are inspired to get creative and write short stories or even novels. Each week we will deep dive into a different writing topic as well as finding what inspires us. 📒Class Structure: 15 min: Fun writing prompt exercise using an opening sentence or photo I will provide to learners. 10 min: Brief Canva presentation about the week's topic (please see Syllabus below) 10 min: Interesting discussion regarding topic as well as looking at examples from learners' favorite novels. Learners are welcome to share anything during this time as well. 20 min: Fun writing exercise applying topic discussed. In this course, learners can expect the following: - Exploring interesting and different topics each week - Fun writing exercises - Resources: worksheets, videos & guides - Creative class atmosphere (writing challenges, fun short story examples, inspirational segments, etc.) 👩🏻🏫My teaching style: I love to create an engaging and creative atmosphere in which learners feel welcome and free to be creative. Learners are always welcome to ask any questions they may have during class and share their ideas. This class is meant to have learners feeling inspired to write by the end of each class session.
