Class Experience
In this characterization workshop, writers will learn how to develop a compelling character that they can use in their own original stories. In this creative environment, writers can bounce ideas off of each other as they brainstorm. Guided questions get the writers to engage their own ideas and develop them further. Writers will leave class with a character "in-development". They will have a better idea how authors make characters jump off the pages and can apply what they've learned to...
Writers will learn how to develop a complex character for an original story. They will leave class knowing the secrets to making a character compelling to readers.
I'm a middle school English teacher with twenty years of experience. I bring a lot of creative energy to my classes and students have fun while learning! My favorite lessons revolve around fiction writing and I hope to nurture the budding authors in my classes.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
