Class Experience

In this one-time class, we will write creative stories using fall words and sight words using the prompt- Spooky. The fun part is spooky means different things to different people, and, as always, there is no right or wrong answer. The class will begin with reading ten-twenty words and picking one to use to write a one sentence story. We will discuss how stories can be long or short: in this case, short. After the short sentence portion, ten words will be chosen at random. Those words will be used to write a longer story.

It's time to stretch creative muscles, have fun, and see what stories unfold.

Learning Goals

Students will improve their sentence structure.
Students will understand that stories have beginning, middle, and end (no matter the length).
Students will read sight words.
