Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Teacher Dena, and I am an experienced ESL educator with a passion for teaching and a track record of reaching over 8,500 students in China. I am enthusiastic, engaging, and deeply committed to creating a learning environment that blends hard work with enjoyment.

My most popular classes include Creative Writing, Dance, and Pokémon Club. Teaching dance, in particular, is a personal joy, and I find immense satisfaction in fostering creativity through movement. Additionally, my son and I share a love for collecting Pokémon cards, which adds a fun, personal touch to my Pokémon Club class. Writing short stories creatively allows me to make the writing process both enjoyable and accessible for students.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a TESOL certification, qualifying me to teach English as a second language to K-6 students. With experience in both traditional classroom settings and homeschooling, my career has been shaped by a deep commitment to student development. My initial experience was teaching second-grade English, which ignited my passion for education and has since guided me through a variety of teaching roles. Homeschooling my son has further enriched my understanding of individualized learning and has opened up new avenues for creativity and growth.

I firmly believe that every student has the potential to learn and should be given the opportunity to progress at their own pace. Learning should be engaging, memorable, and fun. I appreciate that Outschool provides a platform for students to explore topics that captivate their interest, and I am eager to develop classes that reflect both my passions and the diverse interests of my learners.
