1 hour per week. Students will have the opportunity to write a 5-sentence paragraph independently after class using the skills they have been taught. Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Introduction to the time tested Four Square Method - students will gain massive confidence and have immediate success with zero writer’s block. This technique is one of the quickest ways to bring your struggling young writer to the front page. Whether your child is just learning to write full paragraphs, is an ELL student or simply needs to learn how to harness those creative word ponies so they don’t gallop wildly all over the page, we will explore ideas together and learn how to tighten up our writing. And that’s not all… the FSM can be used in any subject at any level of learning!

In this one-time class using the "I Do, We Do, You Do" model, students will be walked step-by-step through the Four Square Writing Method. They will first learn how to create an easy graphic organizer. I will use slides to engage students and and we'll brainstorm together to create a detailed, compelling 5 sentence paragraph. I encourage student output.

Students will have the opportunity after class to write a 5-8 sentence paragraph independently after class using the skills they have been taught. (Students may submit their completed, written work in paragraph form to the teacher after class for feedback. I will respond with a private video link posted in Google Drive outlining strengths and giving suggestions how to improve work. Due to the high number of completed works I receive through the Outschool Conversations tab, I submit personal feedback within 5-days of receiving work.)

NOTE: I start class promptly. I will always admit a tardy student, but please understand that there will not be time to go back and explain from the beginning. A 2-student minimum is required or class will be cancelled the day before and money refunded.
