Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
At the beginning of class, I will introduce a writing prompt for the students. The writing prompt will usually be a question for students to ponder about. An example prompt could be, "What would you do if you had a million dollars?". Students will then be given time to write about whatever comes to their mind regarding the prompt. After everyone is finished, students are encouraged to share their journal entry if they feel comfortable. I will give positive feedback as well as writing tips to each student. Students are also encouraged to give positive feedback to one another. Students should have experience with writing in paragraph form before joining this class.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to expand their creativity and gain practice with writing skills.
