Creative Writing: How to Write a Story
We will be learning about the process of writing a story by learning literary elements. In this class, students will be working on the outline of their stories during class with the help of the worksheet provided before class.

Description
Class Experience
Through learning literary elements (character development setting, point of view, plot structure, conflict and theme), students will be able to write their own stories.
Writing helps kids to expand their imagination and be aware of their own emotions which helps with emotion regulation.
After student print the worksheet before class, they will be able to draft their stories during class. They will be encouraged to post their final drafts or send them privately to me for revision.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
When the student sends his or her final draft to me, I will be providing feedback.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
