Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
This small group writing class is designed to help children develop their written language skills. This group is aimed to support students to develop their writing skills in a very small group, risk free environment. With systematic, sequential, multisensory teaching, the first module will focus on basic grammatical concepts, correct use of punctuation and capitalization, sentence structure and expanded sentences.
I teach online and in-person to ages 5-15 specializing in phonics, reading, spelling, grammar, writing, and ESL. My classes will be phonics-centered, multi-sensory (whenever possible), and fun because reading and writing should be fun!

My teaching style is interactive and learner-focused. I often use power points, stories I've written, discussions, and games in my lessons! I believe that teaching should not only help students learn about the topic being taught but that it should also be engaging and fun! I have a bachelor's degree in Child and Development. I hold certifications/credentials as a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner and Reading Specialist.
While there will be no homework given, students will have the opportunity at the beginning of each class to share any illustrations or further work they have added to their stories from the previous class.
Whiteboard and eraser Printed worksheets may be required prior to class Pencil and eraser Coloring markers or pencil crayons
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
