This class is taught in Spanish.
Students will expand their knowledge on creative writing components and put them to practice in Spanish while developing a fictional story in Spanish. Students will expand their vocabulary in Spanish as well! Los estudiantes ampliarán su conocimiento de los componentes de la escritura creativa y los pondrán en práctica, en español, mientras desarrollan una historia de ficción completa. Los estudiantes ampliaran su vocabulario en español también!
Al ser bilingüe en español-inglés, y habiendo terminado mi tesis de Ph.D enfocada en la comprensión y eficacia de los maestros de la alfabetización bilingüe, sé de la importancia de presentar a los estudiantes bilingües oportunidades para desarrollar sus habilidades de alfabetización bilingüe. ¡Esta clase de escritura creativa para estudiantes bilingües en español es perfecta para llevar su bilingüismo al siguiente nivel! Being biliterate in Spanish-English, and having completed my Ph.D. dissertation on teachers' understanding of biliteracy, I know of the importance of presenting bilingual students with opportunities to develop their biliteracy skills. This Creative Writing class for biliterate students in Spanish is perfect for taking their bilingualism to the next level!
Homework Offered
Most work will be done during class time, however, students are expected to continue writing their story after class. At the end of this 5-week class, students will have created a fictional story in Spanish. Al final de esta clase de 5 semanas, los estudiantes habrán creado una historia ficticia completa en español.Grades Offered
Students will have the option to access Google Slides in order to write on their very own Digital Creative Writing Notebook. Teacher will do a walkthrough first day of class to ensure students' accessibility and understanding on how to use the notebook.
