Description

Class Experience

The goal is to give students time to be creative and make it part of their routine without it feeling like "school work".
As an English teacher, I know that creative writing is an outlet for students and sometimes the subject matter they choose to write about speaks to issues they are experiencing. As a mandatory reporter and teacher using the Outschool platform, I am required to report anything that gives me pause for concern regarding the well-being of the students and/or those around them.
No official homework. Students will be encouraged to keep writing outside of class time and/or setting goals for the next session, but it is not required.
A computer or notebook with pen/pencil for writing (whichever is most comfortable and allows for the most creativity!)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
