Description
Class Experience
Goal: Students will be able to write fiction pieces on their own with little to no prompts.
Each week students will be assigned some type of assignment. This is so that I can see where students are at and if they are comprehending the content that I am sharing and teaching them. They also will be able to submit their fiction pieces so that they can get feedback on their writing to make it the best piece of work they can produce!
Paper/Notebook to keep their writing and notes in Pencil or Pen I will send out a PDF packet to all parents days before each class starts with any graphic organizers or worksheets that they will need for the class session.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The assessment will be their final fiction pieces. Does it contain the important components? Did they follow the writing guidelines and rules? Where they creative in their writing? These will be the things I look for while reading through their work.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I will be using some books and graphic organizers for this class. Books: "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" By Laura Numeroff Illustrated by Felicia Bond
