Creative Writing: Creating Awesome Villains

This class will evaluate the purpose of a villain within a strong story, and they will learn to develop the villain's role within a plot. We will expand further as students learn to create back stories, redeeming qualities, and realistic endings for their characters. The students will follow along through slides and open discussions. The students will learn new ways to make a villain more realistic through analyzing the purpose of the villain, creating back stories, and featuring redeeming qualities in the character. The students will brainstorm ideas for their own characters.
I have taught English for five years in Middle School and High School. I have conducted several writer's groups and courses.
Homework Offered
Students will not be required to complete homework for this class, but they will receive a review sheet at the end of the course to help them remember the concepts.Assessments Offered
