In this class, we will discuss the elements of a well-developed villain, and students will practice brainstorming their own character ideas.

Class experience

US Grade 5 - 7
The students will learn new ways to make a villain more realistic through analyzing the purpose of the villain, creating back stories, and featuring redeeming qualities in the character. The students will brainstorm ideas for their own characters. 
I have taught English for five years in Middle School and High School. I have conducted several writer's groups and courses. 
Homework Offered
Students will not be required to complete homework for this class, but they will receive a review sheet at the end of the course to help them remember the concepts.
Assessments Offered
Students will be informally assessed throughout the lesson based on their discussion and their ideas for their own character.
Grades Offered
Students will need to bring materials to brainstorm ideas, such as a pen and paper or an iPad. 
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
