Class Experience
A Creative Writing Club is a fun, engaging way to learn how to write a story from the imagination and discover writing tips among a group of club members. Choose from 25 story ideas and write whatever comes to mind around that idea. Have fun with storytelling by sharing. Gain writing tips and comments if you choose to read. -Have fun writing -Understand that constructive criticism can make them better writers, but at the same time, I find their stories fascinating. Receiving suggestions doesn't mean what they wrote was bad in any way. -Learn small writing tips that can improve their writing over time
I have a bachelor's degree. I teach many things on Outschoool, but I have always been a writer. I've published a story about local ghost stories in my hometown. I've written a cookbook and a children's book. I've always been a creative person, which is one reason kids love my classes. I work really hard to make them fun, while teaching at the same time. My creative writing classes on Outschool are popular. I just haven't done one lately due to my PSAT/SAT classes interfering.
No homework unless they don't finish and want to continue working on it.
paper, pen, or pencil, and any handouts I may have posted, which will be posted in the classroom. Just check two days before class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance as they will write about a variety of things.
