I will give feedback during the class. If stories are posted in the classroom or sent to me in a private message, it allows me to send more detailed feedback about your story.Class Experience
Join this Creative Writing Club to complete stories with other young writers! We meet each week and write from a choice of 2 story starter prompts. These prompts vary between a sentence starter or a picture prompt. We begin class with hellos/share outs. Then, there will be a mini-lesson on a writing topic. These lessons will focus on a topic such as vivid descriptions, story elements, character development, character types, showing and telling, and more! Next, students will choose 1 out of 2 prompts to write from. If a student started writing a story the week before, they can continue writing that story or begin with a new prompt. There will be time to write in class. I will play instrumental music while students are writing unless students prefer for it to be off. Toward the end of class, students will have the opportunity to share what they have written. If students would like to - they can share their finished writing after class by posting a picture/scanned version or digital version of their writing on the classroom page. Students can join, leave, and rejoin at any time. Short Outline: Hellos/Shares Lesson Writing Time Share Time If you have any questions, please send me a message.
