US Grade 4 - 6
In our creative writing club, students will learn how to craft compelling characters, develop dynamic plots, and create vivid settings that transport readers to new worlds. Our class is structured around weekly writing prompts, which will encourage students to flex their creative muscles. Each session will begin with a brief lesson on a particular writing technique or element of storytelling, followed by time for students to work independently or in small groups. As a teacher, I believe in a student-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Learners will have ample opportunity to interact with me and each other, through group discussions, writing workshops, and peer feedback sessions. This class is designed for students who are eager to explore their creativity and develop their writing skills. Whether your child is an avid reader, a natural storyteller, or simply curious about the world of writing, this club will provide a fun and supportive environment for them to grow and learn. Upcoming Writing Topics: Note that the prompts will be presented in such a way that they are quite open-ended. Students will be able to add their own twist and point of view to each week's writing prompt.
