This is an 7-week course for students to dive into their creativity and write their own story. We will dive into creative writing, brainstorming, the structure of writing, and much more. This is going to be a fun and interactive class!

Description
Class Experience
Each week, I will teach students a lesson, and then do an activity with them in relation to their stories they will write. It may be a review, or a game, or something we work on together. I try and add hands-on to each class. Then, in the last part of each class they will have time to write. This class is very interactive and we enjoy very solid conversations about writing. We begin with the basics of writing and then build on that. I will leave them with a small activity weekly to complete...
Students will learn the basics of writing, how to construct solid paragraphs, how to come up with a good writing topic, and more. They will leave with a solid understanding of writing and how to write properly. A few major focus points are academic vocabulary, writing structure, organization, and the elements of literature.
I am certified to teach English and have been a teacher for 4 years. I am very versed in teaching English and enjoy every second of it. I have taught creative writing to my charter students many times and we have worked on techniques of writing. I am a very versed writer and have been editing things for people for many years. I am excited to share this class with everyone and learn and grow together.
Each week they will be writing!
Students will just need the following: -Pencil -Paper -Computer typing program (I prefer Google Docs because editing for me is easier. If you have a Gmail, you can access this)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
