Plan, organize, and execute a "Choose Your Own Adventure" story! A quick 3-day, 1-week creative writing class for writers with an idea already in mind but who are also interested in improvisation.
Class experience
In this 3-class, weeklong course, students will work on crafting an original, interactive story and be provided with a number of examples of interactive fiction stories to read. Class 1: We will discuss a few basic methods of delivering an interactive story, branching/merging, and some of the other storytelling techniques that are specific to the interactive, choose-your-own-adventure style of writing. By the end of the first class, students will have begun their own interactive story...
Students will learn the basics of interactive storytelling and practice creative writing.
I will provide a number of (free) tools students can (optionally) use for their stories beyond Google docs.
