In this self-paced 4-day camp, students will improve their creative writing skills by exploring different key elements of writing. This class is for students who love writing and hope to improve their craft.

Writing a good story often requires creativity and natural-born talent. Writing an excellent story requires an understanding of key elements of the craft. In this camp, students will explore several key components to writing a great story. Students will also receive feedback on stories they choose to submit. Topics covered in class: - Genre - Setting - Conflict - Character development - Types of characters - Showing and telling - Dialogue Students will receive feedback on any stories they choose to submit.

Students will receive a pdf to help them brainstorm. They will also receive resources to help them with world-building. Lesson 2:
Characters

Show and Tell
