There will be time at the beginning of class for students to show off and introduce their pet, or talk about the pet they want to get someday. During class students will be introduced to the Beginning/Middle/End anchor chart, and I will demonstrate how to use it to develop an exciting creative writing piece. I will give the students a handful of writing prompts to help spark their imagination, and then they will have an opportunity to write about their pets using these prompts. We will focus...
Students will learn about how to structure a short story using the Beginning/Middle/End anchor chart. They will practice writing with detail and correct grammar and spelling, as they have fun creating a short story featuring their pet, or a pet they would like to have someday.
Students will need their pet, a piece of paper, and a pen or pencil. There will be time at the beginning of class to show off and introduce their pet, or talk about the pet they want to get someday.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
