My Creative Writing and Storytelling: A HP Camp was created because of the popularity of my one time HP class. We will analyze both worlds of HP through the lenses of Creative Writing and Storytelling. Part of each class will be instructor led teaching and some group discussion. Their will be worksheets that can be worked on after each class that deals with the theme of that particular day. I will show and explain each day's worksheet. We will end each day with a game or fun group discussion. We will explore, discuss, and critically examine creative writing and storytelling themes, writing styles, literary devices, and writing techniques found in the complete HP books/movies series. Day 1: HP - The Hero's Journey. Who are your favorite HP Characters? A HP Trivia game Day 2: We will discuss and critically examine HP characters development through all 7 books/movies. HP timeline. A HP Would you Rather Game? Day 3: Sorting Hat, An Escape room, HP quotes activity. Day 4: 7 writing tips from the HP series. We will discuss and critically examine HP literary devices. HP Jeopardy

We have 4 children aged 15, 13, 10, and 8. When they were really young I used to create nighttime stories for them. I would ask them questions and they would give me characters, settings, and topics. Then I would create a story based on there answers. Recently our two oldest children starting do the same thing for the two younger ones. I've always had a passion for creative writing and story telling. Our family also has a love for books and movies. I am taking some of the most popular books/movies series and creating creative writing and storytelling classes and camps.
