Creative Writing - A Totally Tale Tale!

In this creative writing class, your learner will learn the elements of the Tall Tale and how to write either a twist or an original tale.  First, we will learn the elements of what this genre includes and then hear an example of one (Paul Bunyan), so the student understands what makes it a tall tale.  The student will then get an opportunity to write a twist to the tale (an alternative ending) or start writing an original one.  Because of the time limit of the class, if they chose to write an original one, they may not finish, but they can send me their completed tale by posting it in the classroom.  I teach in a relaxed manner.  Prior knowledge:  Your child should have basic spelling skills and be able to compose a paragraph.  Class Rules:  We mute so we do not talk over one another, we are kind and respectful to everyone, we raise our hand if we have a question or comment, and per Outschool's rules, we turn on our camera at the beginning of class so we can verify the learner.  I would prefer that the camera stay on during the class.
