Welcome to Women in History! During each of these classes we will explore a brief biography of different women in history, their life, the society and culture that shaped them, and what contributions they made in their field. We will discuss how their lives would be different if they had been born in different times and cultures and what shaped them into achieving their goals. Different aspects of history will be discussed each week and how this affected each of these amazing women....
I have been an educator on Outschool since February of 2018. I have my MBA and MHA, both of which have taught me the value of conducting research and asking questions. I have a passion for history and learning. You can usually find me in the middle of 2-3 books or watching a documentary.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
In this class, we will be talking about different eras in time, so there will be discussions about discrimination, racism, and some violence. This will be handled in an age appropriate manner. Students are encouraged to ask question and share their thoughts and opinions, but any that feel inappropriate will be directed to discuss with a parent after class. There may be some Youtube videos that are seen during this class. I will share my screen and learners will not need to access them on their own.
