Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner Level
This writing class for beginners is all about igniting the love for creativity in young writers as they learn how to write a creative story every week by following a simple structure, that breaks down the process of writing an interesting story. Students will learn how to combine the the beginning paragraph, the middle paragraph, and the ending paragraph following a step by step approach for creative writing.

We will draw inspiration from different things like our past experiences, learning something new, a time you visited a new place, students will also write stories from their imagination, it could be a fairy tale or an animal tale, we will have a lot of fun doing creative writings and learning in the process.

It is an interactive class where students can share their different ideas about the subject we are writing about for the week, students are allowed to ask questions at any point during the class, and I check in on the students after each step to make sure everyone is getting it and doing great. I also create a relaxed and welcoming environment in the class to accommodate and encourage every personality type, so students can feel free to express themselves whenever they want to.

Students are more creative when they write about something they love and are really interested in, so the class will be student led and at the end of each class, every student will vote for the topic they want us to write about in the next class. This is a beginner's class, no previous experience in writing is required, however, experienced artists are also welcomed.

I offer lots of praises and encouragement to all my students by pointing out the things they are doing well and giving suggestions on how they can improve on their writings.

We will be writing on the following topics in the first 4 weeks of the class,

Week of 19th of February 2023: (A story about an exciting experience you had)

(Please Note: The topics we will write on in subsequent weeks is subject to change based on the votes of the students for their preferred topic).

Week of 26th of February 2023: (A story about a time you visited a place for the 1st time)
Week of 5th of March 2023: (A creative story from your imagination)
Week of 12th of March 2023: (An Animal tale)

The class will continue as usual in subsequent weeks.

Please Note: Each week's story does not build on the story of the previous week, so students can join the class at anytime.

You are a great writer, I look forward to creating with you soon.

In case your schedule changes, I will be happy to transfer your learner to another time that works better for your family.

Hello! My name is Favour. I love teaching young children. I teach pre-school and elementary classes, I also teach up to secondary classes. I am really passionate about creativity and I have taught many students how to unleash their creative nature. I won a creativity and innovation award in the university. I am excited to offer my classes to even more students on this platform. I believe that every child is a potential artist and the most important thing about arts and crafts is being creative in your own way and having fun while at it. I look forward to helping each student discover their talents.

Aside from teaching in a class room setting, I also teach and share my experiences on my YouTube Channel. I have authored and published 5 books. I do not only teach verbally, I also write to inspire youth across the world, helping them understand their purpose and how to unleash their natural creativity.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance. I am a mum of an amazing toddler who I currently home school and we have fun trying out new creative ideas everyday.

At my leisure, I enjoy traveling, cooking, decorating and spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to creating with your learners.
